iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max came in 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch OLED sizes, the larger being the biggest iPhone display yet. The A12 Bionic was among the first 7-nanometer chips, and the camera added Smart HDR and adjustable depth of field.
iPhone XR offered the all-screen design and Face ID at a lower price, with a 6.1-inch LCD, the A12 Bionic and a single camera that used software for Portrait mode. It came in six colors from $749.
Apple Watch Series 4 grew the display by about 30 percent in new 40mm and 44mm sizes. It added fall detection and an electrical heart sensor for an ECG app, which arrived in the US later that year.
